Little Steps Reviews: Chaiwala, A Delicious Taste Of India In Hong Kong

Descending the steps past the in-house speakeasy bar, Hugger Mugger, which serves as a charming spot for a drink before or after dining, you enter Chaiwala’s warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant boasts a rich vibrant decor that mirrors the energetic spirit of India, complete with three unique dining areas: the Chai Bar, the Kitchen, and the Dining Hall, with the latter being an ideal setting for large groups due to its expansive central table and striking overhead decorations.

We chose the Dawath Express Lunch Menu, attractively priced at HK$148 per person. This set menu features a selection of vegetarian, fish, lamb, or chicken dishes, accompanied by a curry, dal, basmati rice, naan, raita, lacha pyaz, and the day’s dessert. The servings were generous and each dish was delicious!

Additionally, Chaiwala offers the Flavour Of India lunch menu at HK$288 per person, which includes 60 minutes of unlimited house wines and soft drinks. For an extra HK$180, you can upgrade to champagne!
