Tickets are now available for Croucher Science Week in Hong Kong, an annual festival sponsored by the Croucher Foundation. This free festival showcases an engaging lineup of activities designed to bring science into the daily lives of kids and young people. Book yours here!

Since its inception in 2018, the festival has reached over 295,000 students, parents, and teachers, sparking curiosity and deep thought through online events, live programs and demonstrations, and bilingual workshops. The festival’s school program enriches education with school tour shows, online workshops, and a wealth of downloadable resources, all aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of science, technology, and medicine. Croucher Science Week 2025 highlights:

Theatre Shows

• The Royal Institution will present an immersive exploration of food metabolism through live experiments and demonstrations.
• Thunderbolts & Lightning will perform “The kids who fell to Earth,” a dynamic show following siblings on a cosmic science quest.
• Scitech Discovery Centre’s WOW show will feature spectacular demonstrations of scientific phenomena not to try at home, including fire experiments.

Hands-on Workshops

• Anturus Education will offer two creative workshops:
  • “Mountain warmth: the science of insulation” where participants can test different materials and learn about keeping warm.
  • “Mountain breeze: adventure tents and the science of aerodynamics” allowing children to design and build mini tents.
• Deutsches Museum will lead “Experiments with smartphones and everyday objects,” showcasing how different sensors work.

Interactive Activities

• Science Made Simple will present “Science busking,” a drop-in activity featuring cool experiments that children can recreate at home.
• Deutsches Museum will demonstrate how to build rockets and explore the hidden beauty of polarised light in everyday devices.
