The Annual Ma Wan Easter Egg Hunt Is Back For 2025!

The beloved Ma Wan Easter Egg Hunt returns on April 19, 2025, for a day filled with fun, community spirit, and support for a meaningful cause. Organized by Branches of Hope, this cherished annual tradition, first launched in 2011, supports refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of human trafficking in Hong Kong. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, it’s finally back!

This year’s theme, “Hatching Hope,” embodies the spirit of Easter, representing renewal and fresh beginnings. The event will feature eight 10-minute egg hunt sessions across a 400 sq.m beach, alongside entertainment, game booths, and delicious food and drinks provided by sponsors, including the title sponsor, Café de Coral.

Ma Wan Easter Egg Hunt 2025 highlights:

• Easter Egg Hunt Sessions: Eight thrilling 10-minute hunt sessions will take place across the 400 sq.m beach. Participants can search for eggs to redeem exciting prizes.
• Teachings on Easter: Interactive activities and sharing sessions will explore Easter’s true meaning and its connection to Branches of Hope’s work. The event incorporates elements of the Easter story, with an open teaching session for all interested guests.
• Games and Entertainment: Refugee and asylum-seeking community members will organize performances and family-friendly games throughout the day, ensuring continuous entertainment between hunt sessions.

Ma Wan Easter Egg Hunt 2025 event details:

• Date: April 19, 2025 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm
• Ticketing: Tickets are available at HK$200 for individuals, HK$550 for a family of 3, and HK$650 for a family of 4.
  All proceeds support Branches of Hope’s mission to restore dignity, justice, and hope to the vulnerable in Hong Kong. Over the past decade, the event has attracted 20,000 participants, raised HKD 1.2 million, and involved 2,000 volunteers.
