• In Hong Kong, for normal childbirth in a private hospital in Hong Kong, the cost is approximately HK$100,000 (semi-private room) to HK$250,000 for emergency deliveries (including C-sections).  For public hospitals, the cost is significantly less (inpatient fees for a 3 days & 2 nights stay is HK$360 (room fee) + HK$75 (admin fee) and you can use your Octopus card to pay!).

A favorite hospital for public deliveries in Hong Kong.  If you have a referral from your GP or OBGYN and are a HKID holder, you may be able to get a private room at Queen Mary Hospital. The hospital has obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists available around the clock.
