If you’ve never been out to the New Territories on a bicycling adventure with the whole family, then now is the time to go with the launch of Gobee.bike, Hong Kong’s first smart bicycle-sharing service. With 1,000 smart bicycles spread across key bike-friendly locations, including Sha Tin, Tai Po and Ma On Shan, simply sign-up on the mobile app, pick up the nearest bike, and start riding.
Biking with kids has never been easier!
Over 1000 cities around the world have implemented bike-sharing systems - and now Hong Kong is joining the ranks. All riders need to do is log into the brand's mobile app, register their credit card and find the nearest bicycle. Gobee.bike costs HK$5 per 30 minutes and payment is made directly through the app. Once you've finished your ride, drop the bike anywhere. All bicycles are equipped with basket, solar-powered smart light for night riders, lock and integrated alarm system.
Cycling enthusiasts with no space at home to keep their own; those looking to keep fit by swapping public transport for self-powered bicycles; or those looking for easy bike rental if heading for a family day out in the New Territories.
Gobee.bike is set to grow rapidly and is looking to introduce 20,000 smart bicycles by July 2017. By the end of 2017, the company hopes to have bikes across most of Hong Kong, including Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, Discovery Bay and Park Island.
