J.K. Rowling Publishes Children’s Fairy Tale The Ickabog
Harry Potter fans, rejoice
Harry Potter fans, rejoice! J.K. Rowling, the author of the bestselling series, recently announced the launch of another magical tale, The Ickabog. Not a Harry Potter spinoff by any means, the story is a fairy tale that Rowling used to read to her children before bed. She began working on the book over a decade ago.
The story is suitable for children aged 7 to 9 and will be released in 34 free online installments from May 26 to July 10, 2020, before being published as a printed book, e-book, and audiobook in November. What are you waiting for? Head over to The Ickabog website and start reading!
Fans of the story can even look forward to possibly being a part of its final printed version. Children can submit their drawings to an illustration competition using the hashtag #TheIckabog, with the best submissions being selected to appear in the book!
