Context Museum is based in Edinburgh, the magnificence of which inspired the architectural landscape of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter franchise, but their collection magically traveled to Hong Kong and settled into what can be described as a hybrid of a pop-up museum and a curio shop. Needless to say, it has a whole lot of what Potterheads have been reading about and then watching, and now they can browse through it too: wands, quidditch equipment, robes, maps, candles, stuffed owls, potion bottles, artwork, merch and so much more – more than you can see in one visit. Going to this magical shop is an adventure in itself.
Imagine pointing to critically messy parts of your kid’s room with a glowing magic wand next time. Imagine drinking your next morning coffee in a Hogwarts robe. It would be magically fun, wouldn’t it? Now imagine if you were a kid and had a piece of the magic in your hands! If you have a Potterhead in the family (or within yourself), don’t hesitate to visit this otherworldly corner of Hong Kong!
