Early Childhood Education Program At HighScope Indonesia

HighScope Indonesia, founded by David Weikart was based on the theory developed by Jean Piaget, a Swiss psychologist. The school’s education framework is based on Piaget’s principles of cognitive development where children are encouraged to analyze, learn and gain knowledge with what’s around them. Originated in the United States, HighScope has spread across the globe and in 1996 it was initiated in Indonesia and opened 13 branches across the country.

• Active Learning: The world is constantly evolving and children must adapt and overcome challenges. Active learning provides students with developmentally-appropriate opportunities to make meaningful connections in an academic setting.
• Curriculum: The curriculum is holistically developed to ensure all aspects of the students’ needs are covered such as the environment, atmosphere, assessment, strategy, activities, and support.
• Home-Based Learning: With the current challenges caused by the pandemic and in accordance with Indonesia’s government regulations, HighScope Indonesia has prepared Home-Based Interactive Learning (HBIL), an alternative learning system to ensure conducive and safe conditions for all students. HighScope Indonesia continues to adapt creative, innovative, and positive solutions to enhance the development of life skills among its pupils.
