Home is where the heart is! Mercredi’s housewares adds a bit of romance and French flair to your home (hoorah!). The little boutique at the corner of two main roads is a delightful addition to Bali’s plethora of home stores. Products range from objects d’art, artisanal ceramic lamps, woven baskets, rattan and vintage furniture found throughout the archipelago. Plus, a few gorgeous personal accessories are thrown into the mix such as ethnic sarongs and scarves.
The shelves of Mercredi are filled with hand-stitched bedding, luxurious throws and cushions. Walls are adorned with botanical prints of insects and butterflies, along with draped textiles in an array of florals, stripes, fringe, and the occasional velvet pom pom. The store is scattered with beautiful armoires, colonial-style tables, and oversized rattan chairs. To top off the left-bank allure, Mercredi usually has a Parisian style birdcage or two…chirp to it!
