
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of bilateral relations between Japan and ASEAN in 2023, Singapore Street Festival (SSF) is marking the momentous occasion with the ‘Happy Balloons’ show, by art group KUGANI from the Tanagusukuryu Gyokusenkai, the oldest Ryukyu dance group in Okinawa. With performances featured in numerous major festivals such as the Festival d’Avignon in France and having toured countries like England, Scotland, and Spain, you can be guaranteed a spectacular show! Come watch a high-quality performance of the traditional art form of Okinawan dance. Of course, the show comes with balloons of different shapes, sizes, and colors so it creates a magical atmosphere that will delight audiences of all ages. This visually stunning affair is taking place at Gateway Theatre’s Black Box from August 17 to 19, 2023 and tickets only cost SG$25. The show is approximately an hour long with no intermission breaks and will be performed in both English and Japanese. Come bring your family members and friends along for this festive occasion.
