Remember the days when we had to scramble for coins at a payphone, only for it to “run out of time”? Technology now inevitably plays a large role in our daily lives, but wouldn’t it be exciting to step back to everyday technological tools back a few decades? National Museum Of Singapore presents Off / On: Everyday Technology That Changed Our Lives, 1970s – 2000s, and is an immersive showcase that brings so much nostalgia!
This beautiful showcase takes visitors through familiar settings, at home, work, and social spaces like a bustling salon or coffee shop. It encourages visitors to reflect on how technology has made an indelible mark on their everyday life and also gives a chance for families to introduce these “old school” gadgets to children who have never seen or heard of a pager.
After dark, the museum turns into an exclusive in-gallery escape room, at a rate of SG$15 per person for groups of 3 to 6 participants, and SG$12 per person for groups of 7 to 10 participants.
Free admission to the exhibit for Singaporeans and PRs.
