Canadian International School (CIS), Singapore is offering FREE virtual STEAM workshops on inventing, designing, and creating! Families can choose from four different workshops: create a drawbot, build a molecule model, code a robot and design a cardboard sculpture. It is an opportunity to understand CIS’s STEAM approach led by their experienced teachers. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Arts, and Math. It is an integral part of CIS’s curriculum across all grade levels. It helps students think outside the box with hands-on activities, problem-solving and critical thinking. Students develop key 21st-century skills regardless of where their passions or interests lie.
CIS students are exposed to STEAM experiences in stimulating Makerspace rooms from grade 1 onwards. These are part lab, part shop, part conference room designed to foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and design thinking. Students build and work on projects using traditional equipment such as woodworking and sewing machine and cutting-edge technology such as MakerBot 3D printers, GCC laser engravers, etc. Book now for a slot!
