The talented lady at Pretty Cool Cakes can beautifully craft any form of birthday cake for you, with the brightest colours and coolest designs.
A self-taught baker, Ylva Scholtens-Couvret opened this venture two years ago, after she moved here from the Netherlands. Her speciality is ‘fondant’ cakes, a variety that is a challenge to make in the humid weather of Singapore. However, a little training and oodles of passion helped her dream come true.
Ylva sticks to basic flavours like vanilla and chocolate since that’s what kids prefer. The icing on the cake, are the drool worthy designs she creates – from carousels to peppa characters, which sometimes take her 8 hours to create!
