Discover serenity and scenic beauty at the newly launched Mandai Boardwalk! Opened on January 14, 2025, this 3.3km wheelchair-friendly trail meanders through the lush Mandai Wildlife Reserve, skirting the Upper Seletar Reservoir and Central Catchment Nature Reserve. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll daily from 7 am to 7 pm, completely free of charge. Designed to immerse guests in nature, the boardwalk offers glimpses of local wildlife and some zoo residents while celebrating the harmony between forest and water ecosystems.
Highlights of the Mandai Boardwalk
- Five Thematic Stations: Explore stations inspired by native wildlife, such as Tree Frog’s Hangout, Damselfly’s Wing, and Iora’s Nest. Each spot celebrates biodiversity with unique designs and educational insights.
- Inclusive and Eco-Friendly Design: Elevated paths protect native wildlife below, while water-edge vegetation encourages birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. Mature trees were preserved during construction using low-impact methods.
- Scenic Lookout Points: Enjoy stunning views of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and spot native species like straw-headed bulbuls and long-tailed parakeets.
- Accessible Entry Points: Access the boardwalk near River Wonders or from Mandai Wildlife East, a hub offering dining, playgrounds, and more.
