Get your little monkeys out to swing, climb, jump and slide on the newest playgrounds in town! Wallholla is the first vertical playground in Asia, designed to introduce modern playgrounds into land scarce Singapore. With the first one at Bishan, there are now five of the three-storey structures in Singapore, big enough to hold 30 children at once.
Talk about ingenuity, the Wallholla, a space-saving vertical playground is perfect for our land-scarce little island. Designed by Carve, a Netherlands based design studio, this vertical haven is built to hold 30 children at any one time. What characterizes this playground is its undulating ribbons, which allow kiddies to maneuver walking on or under them and even scaling them! As the little ones navigate their way through the cage, some surfaces change to become rope mesh or an open grid, which really tasks them to think of creative ways to conquer such obstacles.
Kids can walk on the orange wavy layers or climb them as they navigate their way through the cage. There are different surfaces and exits encouraging kids to make decisions to conquer the obstacles. There’s an exterior climbing wall and a fireman pole for the more adventurous types.
