Calling all nature-loving families! If you wish to learn about Macau’s unique biodiversity, go on an ecological trail at the Avenida da Praia in Taipa. There you will find a stunning wetland area that attracts many animals, such as dragonflies, butterflies, forest birds, and other fascinating wildlife.

This spot is also great for bird lovers as there are specific bird-watching houses set up in the area in order to not disturb their habitats. Aside from the interesting ecological trail, visitors can also visit the ecological pond in the wetlands.

• The Western section of Ecological Pond: Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and compensatory rest days, 9am to 5pm
• Eastern and Northern sections of Ecological Trail: 6am to 6pm (Other trails: All day)
